Frederic Cossard. He’s one of the few rebels in the region that is spearheading the natural wine movement, and he is producing beautiful wines just like Prieure Roch, Phillipe Pacalet and Leroy.
He does 100% biodynamic farming, does not use SO2, nor any chemical products in the cellar, so vinification is also totally natural.
The wines are mind-bendingly good, Fréd’s wines burst with life and energy. Each red slowly evolves in the glass, opening with a fruity, Beaujolais-like charm before tightening into very serious wines reminiscent of the greatest offerings of the Côte d’Or.
He only farms 7 hectares across a few villages of Burgundy, the production is extremely small and highly sought after, I was very honored to be able to get the following at an amazing price
